What is URI Day of Giving?

URI Day of Giving is a 24-hour event for alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends to come together and show their Rhody pride. Be a part of Day of Giving by making a gift to any area of the University you are passionate about and encouraging others to join you. All gifts received on April 28 count toward our collective goal to raise more than $1.4 million from over 4,000 members of the URI community.

What should I support on URI Day of Giving?

Visit alumni.uri.edu/urigives to view some of the colleges, programs, varsity and club sports you can support, and check out the many gift challenges that can make your gift go further! In addition to the gift challenges, our priority is raising awareness and support for students, faculty, and their big ideas.

What can I do to help get the word out about URI Day of Giving?

You can help promote awareness of Day of Giving and the impact of generosity on the lives of URI students by becoming an advocate! Day of Giving Advocates raise awareness on social media by posting content and sharing with their networks to increase engagement. They also connect with URI alumni, family, and friends via phone, email, and/or text to encourage others to make a gift. It all adds up to make even more impact and improve the lives of students for years to come. Become an advocate here and access our advocate toolkit here.
