Gifts to Research Impact Fund contribute to...
Fueling Further Discovery
The University of Rhode Island recently earned R1 status from the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education, reserved for the nationβs top research universities. While this prestigious designation is new for URI, excellence in research has always been part of our story.
For the University to build on the R1 designation and continue to benefit the state, the region, and areas around the world, we are seeking to increase research funding through private support.
The Research Impact Fund will channel support to areas immediately affected.
Gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations will provide critical bridge funding that will help to:
- Keep current projects moving
- Retain the Universityβs best faculty and student researchers
- Pursue the new idea that leads to the next big discovery
